While the papering process was intermittantly drying I worked on the cooling flaps and exhuast stacks that fit into them. The flaps are stiff paper left over from a Hellcat kit and the exhaust stacks are carved from bass wood left over from a ship kit. T

This way of adding a wing filet has its good points, however I'm not sure how I will like it on other models. We'll see, I'm always ready for something new, especially if it works.

Finishing up papering as well a repairing the the fuselage paper. The wing filets do not call for stiff paper filets as Guillows usually does, this Diels kit has the filet struture built into the frame so the filets are done during the normal paper and do

The undersides are plain white 'Esaki' tissue which has a much better wet strength, and can be easily stretched and smioothed.

Covering was with "Easy-Built" olive drab tissue. I don't particularly like it because it doesn't have very good 'wet strength'
