Got a bit done today. The kit supplied wood is 1/8" and is in excellent condition after 50+ yrs. Soaked in warm water for 10 min. to get it to curve. Front fuselage half almost complete. Rear half is next. This is like building 2 kits.

First rendition of removable motor mount. Rear "Puck" slips under ledge on second bulkhead, front slips in keyway on first bulkhead. Retained by a small rubber band from peg on lower chin (to be added) up over motor mount stick to create a "Weak Link".Blue tape is temp, didn't bring the correct size heat-shrink tubing.

Yahoo! Radio fits. Balances a little nose-heavy, but after covering should be within range. Plus the battery has room enough to move forward and back approx. 3/8" for fine tune.
