Since I had my machines setup after finishing an unrelated project I started making some components for the jet exhaust nozzles. Still need the tubes, support vanes and faked turbine blades.

Oh yeah, I added the anti-glare panel and the cowl flaps made from card stock, same as Jerry's. Exhausts?? Tune in tomorrow.

Good news! After repairs, I waited until the wind calmed down and did some test flights. The gliide tests were perfect so I put about 150 winds in it (1/4" FIA tan, 1 loop) and got a nice little flight. Then I put 300 winds in it, crossed my fingers and let 'er go. She climbed and banked to the left and gave me a nice lazy left hand circle for about 10 seconds. Beautiful attitude in the air, so stable and peaceful. Woo hoo! I need a bigger field if I'm going to give it full winds though...

I faired in the front of the landing spats with some balsa. I've also replaced the red clown wheels supplied in the kit with some "half" (more like a quarter actually) wheels made out of balsa. Once painted they'll look OK.

The nose came out pretty good considering I did it all by "eye", I think!
