The lens is made from a strip of plastic packaging cut to width and wraped around an appropriately sixed dowel and lightly, really lightly, with a cigarette lighter. If your fingers feel hot, it's not lightly enough. Now you can cut it to fit.

the bottom I glued , first the leading edge and then glued the trailing edge and worked my way down with pressure front front to trailing edge
