After three coats of thinned nitrate dope the structure was wet covered with Sig silkspan and dope. 28 pieces of silkspan were used. It was then given three more coats of dope and sanded with 320 wet/dry paper. Painting is with Liquitex acrylics as usual.

Those bumps on the top are why I still have it. It's stiff plastic so trim it, glue it front and back with medium CA, and then use your finger to press on the top which will force the bottom sides to the fuselage so they can be glued in place.

Brian: Just happen to have an F-18 canopy on hand....cover it with masking tape which will help you see where the lines are and then draw them in with a pencil. The red line is the cut line. Leave the tape on and cut with larger scissors.
