This old Comet kit has a fragile frame. To beef it up, I used 1/16" x 1/8 " stock in many places instead of the 1/16" square. Also added gussets and additional braces in the fuselage. Doubled the ribs and spars in the wings,and increased the size of the trailing edge stock. If this kit were to be reintroduced, I would suggest an alignment spar with the formers to make easier construction of the pontoons.
