With som e modifications the 500 series 190 can be built as any of the radial engine Fw 190s. As you can tell I like this kit except for the canopy it is a great kit, although it is a little under sized for 1/24th scale.

It kills me that I painted the tail yellow. I have no idea what I was thinking. I just went ahead and did it and I'm too chicken to remask and repaint the whole thing. Oh well.

It weighs nearly a metric short ton now with all the dope, paint, decals, filler, etc on it but I am thinking about putting some hot-rod rubber motor in and flying it one more time just so I can say that it is a flying model. I know I am courting disaster but what the heck...

I went overboard with the painting. There are plenty of pictures of FW-190s with yellow tails on the internet, and there are plenty of pictures of planes with red theatre bands on the internet, (can you see where I am going with this?) but there are no pictures of FW-190s with yellow tails and red theatre bands on the internet.
