scigs30 | 21-Feb-10 07:03 | I built another Guillows P-40, not too happy with my paint job. I built this one with stock wood and no major modifications. Except I did add an extra stringer behind the cockpit. I used the kits tissue and used Guillows covering diagram, haven't used that since I was a kit. It is a great way to cover if you want a wrinkle free job. Everything went well until I airbrushed the green over the brown. I thinned it too much, so the green came out lousy. Also the cockpit framing came out a lighter green, should have also sprayed that brown first then green. Oh well, flying weight is under 30 grams, just have to build another some day. Also I went with the Longhorn P-40 E. |
